Again and again, I coach couples who feel like they have devolved from being a couple that’s connected by passion and love, to one that’s bound together by shared responsibilities related to a home, finances, and kids. Where there were once hot dates, there are now Cheerios and swim lessons.
My role as a coach with these couples is often to remind them that the reason behind all that they do is their love and commitment to each other. The kids that have come to consume all of their attention and energy are a product of their love and commitment. The home in which the couple often feels like roommates, is intended to house their love and commitment.
These are not just nice sounding words and sentiments. They are a mindset. They are the foundation from which you can begin to approach and transform your relationship.
Reach out, and let’s work together to re-entrench love at the heart of your connection with your partner.
